Free homeschool geography maps to label and quiz
Geography sticks when a child places a country themselves, not when they read its name off a page. These map drills are free, work offline, and ask your child to find each place on a real map — then tell them, gently, whether they were right.
The maps
Ten maps, each a quiz you finish by putting every place where it belongs:

How it works
You are shown a name and you tap where it goes on the map. The area under your pointer lights up so a child can see what they are about to choose, and a wrong tap costs nothing but another try. If a place has them stuck, “Show me” points it out and moves on. Each map keeps your best time, so a child races yesterday instead of a sibling.
Places too small to tap — the Bahamas, Hong Kong, Palestine, Brunei — get their own labelled marker off to the side, so they are never the reason a child cannot finish a map.

Little and often beats a marathon
Five minutes on the same map most days does more than an hour once. The maps are short on purpose so they fit into a morning.
Name it before you place it
Ask your child to say one thing about a place — a bordering country, an ocean it touches — before they tap. Placing becomes remembering rather than guessing.
Let the map be the test
Map Work keeps no record of a child’s misses beyond the round in front of them. It is a place to be wrong safely and try again, which is where the learning is.
